GTA: San Andreas runs slow

If the GTA SA runs slow on your computer, its probably due to the low hardware profile of your PC. The best solution - to upgrade your graphics card to a better one, say a nVIDIA Geforce . But if you still want to play it smoothly on the present configuraration, try this :
Start the game and from the root menu, select Option>Display Options>Advanced.
Set the resolution to 800 x 600 x 16 instead of the default 800 x 600 x 32.
This will make the game run really smooth but you will have to sacrifice the dispaly quality, the selected quality is not too bad and does not make much difference.
